    At the start of the fourth novel of romantic suspense in Stewart's Truth series (after 2005's Dark Truth), Regan Landry-the daughter of a deceased true crime writer who's followed in his footsteps to great acclaim-is floundering around for a new book idea. When fraud at a DNA lab is uncovered and several rape and murder convictions are overturned, Regan thinks she's found her story. She'll write about Lester Ray Barnes, wrongly convicted of murder, now set free. But shortly after Barnes is released from prison, several dead bodies turn up-women whose lips have been smeared with blood and who hold a clump of flowers in their lifeless hands, just like Barnes's purported first victim. Is Barnes, in fact, a ruthless killer, or is someone trying to set him up? Regan, working with her delicious beau, FBI agent Mitch Peyton, is determined to find out. While a revelation about Regan's family comes out of left field and the culminating scene in which the real killer is unmasked isn't exactly surprising, Regan's charm and the novel's fast pace will keep readers turning the pages.


    Die Serie ist wie ich finde sehr schön geschrieben bzw. erzählt :)
    Leider ersteinmal der letzte Band der Serie. Mal schauen was sich danach anbietet

    Also die Stiefmutter ist echt ein Alptraum aber naja sie ist vieleicht nicht ganz selbst Schuld an Ihren Verhalten (Siehe spätere Bücher).


    Was den Vater betrifft, hmm schwer zu deuten. Der läßt sich ja wirklich alles erzählen was zutun ist.


    (Bin jetzt wieder Band 1 am lesen)

  • Wie erklärt ihr euch das wenige Jugendliche noch Bücher lesen?

    hm wenn ich an meine Jugend zurückdenke es waren damals schon recht wenige die irgendwas ausserhalb der Schule am lesen waren.


    Die meisten sehen das eher als notwendiges Übel in der heutigen Zeit an.


    Was die meisten jedoch nicht bedenken ist das man durch lesen eine Menge lernen kann. Ich selbst hab im letzten Zeugnis in Englisch eine 4 gehabt kann aber jetzt ohne Probleme eng. Romane ins Deutsche übersetzen :)

  • Seelen [The Host] - von Stephenie Meyer

    Also ich fand das Buch sehr gut auch wenn halt eine Total andere Richtung als die vorherigen Bücher von Stephenie Meyer.


    Bin echt gespannt ob und wann vieleicht weitere Bücher in dieser Welt folgen.


    Auf jedenfall wurden mir die "Seelen" zum schluss immer sympatischer.

Kate's choice, predictably, places her in continuing danger, even as she begins to suspect that her father's involvement with the narco traffickers was more deliberate and extensive than he's willing to admit. The secret revelations at the heart of the plot may strike some as a little far-fetched, and the details about the witness protection program fail to convince, but Gross shows sufficient talent for readers to want to see more from his pen alone


    Bis jetzt sehr gut wie ich finde wenn auch bisher nur knapp 1 Stunde gehört :)

    Momentan höre ich noch Linda Howard - Drop Dead Gorgeous

Though the danger is real-and escalates violently-this is no heart-thumping suspense novel, but instead an old-fashioned clash of the sexes: Blair's high-maintenance style versus Wyatt's alpha male tendencies. Funny and sexy throughout, Howard's latest is marred only by Wyatt's shoddy policework, a convenient misstep that propels the plot but rings false. Regardless, fans of this couple will delight in their rematch, and Howard's recently revealed comedic talents are sure to secure her new readers.
