Elmore Leoanrd has written over twenty highly acclaimed novels for adults. Many of his books have been made into films, including Jackie Brown and Get Shorty. He was born in New Orleans and moved to Dallas, oklahoma City and Memphiy before his family settled in Detroit when he was ten. He served in the US Navy in the Second World War and worked as an advertising copy-writer for many years before leaving to write full-time. A Coyote's in the House is Elmore Leonard's first children's book.
Meine Meinung
Ich habe erst im Nachhinein, als ich den Abschnitt über den Autor gelesen habe, herausgefunden, dass dies eigentlich ein Kinderbuch ist. Es ist meiner Meinung nach aber kein typisches Kinderbuch. Es ist gross geschrieben und zudem nicht sehr dick. Ich hatte es ziemlich schnell durch.
Mir hat der Kontrast Haushund/Coyote sehr gut gefallen und die Reaktion und des einen auf die Welt des anderen. Und auch die Sichweise die jeder von des anderen Lebensstil hat wird schön dargestellt.
Obwohl es ein "lustiges" Buch ist, driftet das Ganze nie ins Lächerliche ab.
