Bücher, die es unbedingt in deutscher Übersetzung geben sollte

Mein erster Gedanke beim lesen des Thread-Titels war: Joe Lansdales Gesammtwerk, in einer guten Übersetzung bei einem Verlag der ihn vernünftig aufbaut und promoted.

Ich hoffe das Heyne nach dem "Gott der Klinge" mit Lansdale weitermacht, mit Jaegele haben sie zumindest einen Lektor der den Mut hatte mit so manchem nicht unbedingt auf anhieb massenkompatibelen Autoren sein Glück zu versuchen.

Ich drücke ganz fest die Daumen!

Weil "Die Tochter der Wälder" so schön war, aber ich finde, dass die Stimmung dieses Buches auf Englisch bei mir nicht so gut ankommt...

Als Film gab es das auf deutsch mit Christopher Reeve, aber das Buch leider nicht.

Über die Fortsetzungen von "Himmel und Hölle" würde ich mich auch riesig auf deutsch freuen...

Told in alternating voices—Sephy, her sister and mother, Jude, his mother—this is a disturbing second installment in the Black & White trilogy. As in the previous book, the writing is keenly incisive, though more so, in this case, when looking at interpersonal rather than race relations. But Blackman goes to some very dark places, especially in the shocking ending. Without the love of Sephy and Callum that leavened the first book (and even that is tarnished here), this is almost unrelentingly downbeat. Still, readers who have come this far with the Naughts and Crosses and their segregated society will want to see how the trilogy is resolved—and whether hope, somehow, some way, manages to emerge.

Fans of British historical thrillers will welcome Raybourn's perfectly executed debut. In 1886, Lady Julia Grey's husband, Edward, dies suddenly of the heart disease that plagues his family, including his reclusive cousin, Simon, who resides with the couple in their large London townhouse. Die meisten einfach, weil ich es, obwohl ich viele englische Bücher lese, doch gemütlicher und einfacher finde auch deutsch und diese Bücher für mich Genussbuchartig anmuten und ich sie lieber auf deutsch lesen möchte.
