Winter Queen
Spring dies away
And winter queen
Claims lordship over
all these lands
Once bloomed with joy
Once hot and dry
Once overflowed with leaves
Now nothing of this
to be seen
Above all thrones
The winter queen
Now look at her
white majesty
No room for lilies left
the queen
So cold, so white,
So clear and blue
Yet terrible to listen to
The ringing of the
Winter bells
Yet overwhelmed
By water smells
We wait, we wait
For spring to come
To break the frozen trees
We hope, we hope
For summer smells
And hundred joyous bees
